国連寄託図書館とは
ニューヨークの国連本部附属ダグ･ハマーショルド図書館が、「国連寄託図書館」として認定し、国際連合の出版物、各種委員会の会議録、調査結果報告書等を寄贈する代わりに、一般公開を義務づける寄託図書館の制度を設けて、国際連合の活動を広く普及し、世界における国際連合の理解を深めることを目的としています。

The designation of depository libraries is the responsibility of the United Nations Publications Board, acting on the advice of the Director of the Dag Hammarskjold Library at the United Nations Headquarters.
All depository libraries receive automatically, according to their needs, all publications offered for sale and public information material distributed free in order to further understanding of United Nations activities throughout the world.
