Help for reservation -- Libraries of Kanazawa City --

• You can reserve books up to 10 in total through the counter and Internet.

 
• Password registration is necessary for Internet Reserve.

Please register your password at Kanazawa Tamagawa Library, Kanazawa Izumino Library, Johoku Branch, Heiwamachi Children's Library and Bookmobile and your library card is required then.

How to reserve

 

1. Retrieve on the Online Catalog screen, then click the materials you choose on the "Material List" screen (or click the materials you choose on the New Arrivals) to display the "Details of Materials" screen. If you click the "Reservation" bottom below, the "Reserve" screen will appear.

 
2. On the "Reserve" screen, please enter your "library card number (user code)" and "password" and choose the "library" where you pick up materials, then click "Yes" bottom below. Your reservation is completed.

* A hyphen is not necessary for entering your library card number.
* One-byte code characters should be used to enter the library card number (user code) and password.
 
3. You can check the number of books you requested on the Reservation List page.

 

Notification of arrivals of requested materials

 

When requested materials are available, we will notify you by phone or E-mail (if you give us E-mail address at the time of password registration)

 

After we notify you, please pick them up within one week and your library card is required then.

 

Confirmation of reserved materials

 

In order to make sure the number of books and titles of book requested, please enter your user code and password and then click "Yes" bottom on the Reservation List screen.

 

Display of Reservation Data

 

Materials you reserved Until the data of reserved books is processed, the screen displays "受付中 (Request is under processing)".

 

After the data is processed, "返却待ち (Waiting for Return)" is displayed.

 

The materials that become available are displayed as "利用可能 (Materials Available)".

 

After arrival of materials is notified, "連絡済 (Already Notified)" appears on the screen.

 

Display of Cancellation

 

If you cancel your reservation before the library's computer processes the data, the title of the reserved materials is deleted on the screen.

 

If you cancel after the data is processed, the sign "取消し中 (Cancellation is under processing)" will appear. (The sign will be displayed for about one month)

 

Cancellation of Reserve

 

In order to cancel your reservation, please display the reserved data from the "Reservation List" screen, and then click the materials to cancel. When the "Reserve Cancel" screen appears, please check your cancellation data and click "Yes" bottom.

* The materials "利用可能(Available)" or "連絡済 (Already Notified)" cannot be deleted on the Internet screen. Please call the library you are supposed to pick up materials.
 

Reservation for comics

 

You can reserve up to five comics whose symbols are " M ".

 

Reservation for CD

 

You can reserve up to three CDs.

You can borrow CDs at libraries that originally own CDs. (Tamagawa or Johoku)
Please make sure to choose the library that is the owner of the CDs to pick up CDs.
* CDs, LDs, DVDs and Videotapes in Kanazwa Izumino Library are no available for lending.
 

About recorded books on tapes

 

Listed materials with a sign of "録音図書"along with their titles are recorded books on tapes for the blind which are not for use of the general public because of the copyright law.

 

About materials not for lending

 

Materials with a sign of "持", which mean not lending, are unavailable for reservation.

 

About changes of your password

 

* You can change your password on the screen for alteration.

 

* Six half size alphanumerical lowercases are available for your password. Please remember to mix alphabets and figures.

 

* For change of your password, you need to enter your current password.

* If you forget or lose your password, please register a new one at the counter of the libraries. We would like to decline answering inquiries about your password.
